General Guidelines: All events are sanctioned by the American Cycling Association (ACA).  ACA rules (www.americancycling.org) will govern competition.  All competitors must show an ACA license as well as a picture ID at check-in.  ACA licenses can be purchased on-site.  Cyclists must wear their helmets during warm-up and competition.  The Cycling Commissioners and/or event staff reserve the right to cancel or delay any portion or the entire race in the event of unsafe weather.  Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each event as well as the Omnium (all three events combined).  For Senior and Masters riders the Omnium consists of the Time Trial, Road Race and Criterium.  For Junior riders the Omnium consists of the Time Trial and Criterium. ALL RIDERS WILL BE SCORED FOR THE OMNIUM OVERALL.  There is no Junior division for Road Race.  Juniors will race in the appropriate Senior Category.  All riders will be scored under ACA rules and in addition to State Games of America medals, will be competing for the Colorado Senior Road Championships, Tour of Colorado points and BAR/BAT.   There will be male and female categories for each division and each category will be scored separately.

Competition Rules and Format: Omnium points and rules per ACA Section 20.  All riders are eligible for Omnium Points, this includes day racers. Final results based on cumulate points for all 3 events.  You do not need to race all three events to be eligible for the Omnium overall. Only current Colorado ACA annual club members are eligible for the ACA State Championship title. Yellow line rule will be enforced. Wheels in - wheels out. Results will be posted at the Start/Finish and at Alpine Park.

Time Trial - The course will be an out and back on CR 160 totaling 7.2 miles on the county roads west of Salida. The total elevation gain/loss is +/- 240 feet with one hill.

Road Race - The course will be a technical and hilly 12 mile lap with 1300' of elevation gain per lap in the foothills west of Salida. This is a mostly closed course with winding mountain road and super fast downhills. The numbers of laps will be based on the riders' ability.  Road course is closed to all traffic all day.

Criterium - The course will be a flat 1 mile figure 8 in the downtown streets of Salida. For the latest information, visit southcentralracing.com.

Miscellaneous: Shuttle buses for the Road Race will run every hour from Alpine Park to the finish line.
