Competition Rules and Format:
Rifle/Pistol General Guidelines: Age
determination date is December 31, 2008. Competitors must
provide their own equipment, ammunition and safety glasses
(recommended). Iron sights only, no aimpoints or scopes. No BB
guns will be allowed. USA Shooting will provide air and CO2 for
mass fill rifles and pistols. CO2 powerlets will not be
provided. Overall medals will be awarded for 1st - 3rd
place in each event. An athlete cannot win both the age category
and overall medal.
Rifle/Pistol Competition Format:
Official National Three-Position Air Rifle Council rules (www.odcmp.com/3P.htm)
will govern the 3PAR event. USA Shooting rules (www.usashooting.com)
will govern the other events. All events are
indoors at the OTC and fired at 10 meters.
Skeet Competition Format: Age
determination date is June 30, 2008. National Skeet
Shooting Association Rules
(www.mynssa.com) will govern this competition. Skeet
participants will shoot a total of 100 targets. The athlete’s
classification of expert, intermediate or beginner will be
determined by the first 50 targets shot. The total score will
determine the medal placement. All divisions will be co-ed.
Medals will be awarded to the three best shooters in their age
group. Medals will be awarded to the three best shooters
in their ability classes. Medals will be awarded to the top
three female shooters. Breakfast will be available until 9:00
a.m. and lunch will be available from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
All participants must use 12 gauge or under
and 7.5 shot or smaller. Ear and eye protection are required for
both
events. Ammunition will be available for purchase. Practice
rounds will be $3.50/round. R/V spaces available for July
24 - July 27 at $10/night (contact Tony Farinaro, (719)

Trap Competition Format: Age
determination date is September 1, 2008. Amateur Trap
Association Rules
(www.shootata.com) will govern this competition. Trap
participants will shoot 100 targets: 50 at 16 yards plus 50 at
handicap yardage equal to 1/2 of 16 yard score plus 2. The
minimum handicap for all shooters will be from the 19 yard line
regardless of score. Sub-Junior, Junior, Veteran and Senior
Veteran divisions will be co-ed. Classes must be declared at
time of registration. No changes will be allowed the day of the
event. Breakfast will be available until 9:00a.m. and lunch will
be available from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
