Competition Dates: Friday, August 4 - Sunday, August 6
Registration Deadline:
Must be received by the entry chairman no
later that 5:00 pm, Saturday, July 29.
Entries received by July 21st will be guaranteed a t-shirt.
REGISTRATION CLOSED
Entries: Individual Events: Swimmers age 10 & Under may
enter a maximum of five events. Swimmers age 11 & over may enter
a maximum of four events per day. Please submit entry times in
the course swam (SCY, SCM, LCM) for all entries. DO NOT SUBMIT
CONVERTED TIMES! "N.T." entries will be rejected as it is
expected all athletes have previously swum each event they are
entering. There are no qualifying times for this meet.
Athletes
entering as individuals and not with a team, please use this
entry form.
All teams, please submit
electronic entries using Hy-Tek Meet Manager, on a CD, or by
email to the entry chairman. The Hy-Tek Meet Manager entry
template is available online at
www.csi.org. Electronic entries must include a
hardcopy printout of the team entry report, team roster,
prepares name and phone number, and coach's name, address &
phone number. The attached
athlete waiver form
must be signed and submitted by the entry deadline for ALL
ATHLETES.
In addition, Masters swimmers and all
other athletes not registered with USA Swimming are required to
provide proof of age (copy of a driver's license, government
I.D. card, passport, or birth certificate) with their entries.
Deck entries will only be accepted at the discretion of the meet
referee or their designee. Due to facility space limitations,
the Rocky Mountain State Games reserves the right to limit
participation to the first 200 swimmers entered for each
session. Entries will be processed in the order received.
Relay Events: Deck
entries only. Relay fee of $16 will be paid with the entry at
each session. Swimmers must enter one or more individual events
to be eligible to enter on Medley and/or Freestyle relay. Mixed
teams consist of at least one male and at least one female
swimmer an the swimmers can be from any team or unattached.
Relays will be considered exhibition with no awards.
Entry Fees: $12.00 for
the first event (includes athletes surcharge) and $5.00 for each
additional event. NO REFUNDS except for entries received after
the deadline and entries rejected due to sessions or events
being filled. Please make checks payable to: Rocky Mountain
State Games.
Note: This meet is held under approval of Colorado Swimming,
Inc. of USA Swimming # 2006-01A.
Competition Rules: Current USA Swimming rules will govern
this meet. Age as of August 4, 2006 will determine the
swimmers age group. All events will be pre-seeded and will be in a
timed/finals format. Swimmers shall report promptly to the
blocks prior to the start of each race in which they are
entered. Heats and events may be combined at the discretion of
the Meet Referee, who has final authority on all swimming
procedures of the meet.
Eligibility: All
Colorado residents and military personnel stationed in Colorado
and their dependents, plus athletes registered for the U.S.
Association of Blind Athletes 2006 National Sports Festival. Athletes need not be registered with USA
Swimming or US Masters Swimming to enter.
Awards:
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be given in the following age
categories for each individual event: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16,
17-18.
Individual High Point award - Top Male & Female
in each of the following age categories: 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12,
13-14, 15-16, 17-18, calculated by scoring the top 8 places in
each event as follows: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. An individual high
point gold medal will be awarded to the top male & female in the
following Masters age groups: 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69,
70-79, 80 & Over.
Facilities: 10 lane 50 meter
indoor pool. Competition in lanes 1-8 with lane 10 used for continuous
warm up/cool down.
Timing: Colorado Timing System with touch pads, backup
buttons, watches, and display board. Hy-Tek meet manager will be
used for record management.
Concessions: Limited
concessions will be available at the pool.
**Officials: All USA Swimming-certified officials in good
standing are welcome. Please forward a

Invitation To Officiate
(pdf) form indicating the
sessions you would like to help out. This form is also located
on page 61 of
the Registration Handbook.
Officials meetings will be held at the beginning of warm-ups for
each session. Officials who work 4 sessions or more will
receive a Rocky Mountain State Games Officials polo shirt.
